Terms of Service for REG.AC

  • Terms of Service for REG.AC Effective Date: September 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of REG.AC (the "Site") and any micro-site, account, or subscription created through it. In these Terms, references to REG.AC refer to the platform and service operated by Duncan Prim SRL (str-la Victor Crasescu 78, MD2059, Moldova), and words such as "we", "us", or "our" refer to the company.

    1. Acceptance and Scope

By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan on REG.AC, you agree to these Terms. Simply viewing a public preview page does not require acceptance of these Terms — no account or agreement is needed to browse a preview.

"User" means any individual or legal entity that creates an account. Automated systems (bots, scrapers) accessing the Site are subject to Section 10 but are not considered contracting parties to this agreement.

    2. What REG.AC Provides

REG.AC is a software-as-a-service platform operated under the REG.AC brand that lets businesses create and manage a simple website (micro-site) on a REG.AC subdomain, optionally starting from a draft populated with publicly available business information (see our Privacy Policy for details on data sourcing).

    3. Draft Micro-Sites and Ownership Verification

3.1 Unclaimed drafts. A draft micro-site created from public data does not belong to anyone until claimed. It is not indexed by search engines and does not display full contact details until an account is created.

3.2 Claiming an account. To manage a micro-site, you create your own account with your own email and password. We do not issue or transmit login credentials to third parties.

3.3 Ownership self-certification. When you activate or edit a micro-site's public-facing contact information, you affirmatively confirm — via an explicit, non-preselected checkbox — that you are the business owner or an authorized representative. This confirmation is logged with a timestamp and IP address.

3.4 What "Verified" means. Where the REG.AC platform displays "Data Verified with Google Maps" or similar wording, this confirms only that the listed business name, address, or phone number match a corresponding public Google Maps listing. It is not a verification of the account holder's identity or authority, which relies on the self-certification in Section 3.3.

3.5 Ownership disputes. If someone claiming to be the legitimate owner disputes an active account, we will freeze further edits to the disputed listing pending review, generally within 5 business day. Freezing is a neutral protective measure, not a finding against the account holder. If the account holder cannot reasonably demonstrate a connection to the business, control reverts to draft status and any fees paid by the disputed account holder for that listing are refunded in full (capped at a maximum of the preceding 3 months of subscription fees).

3.6 False certification. Providing a false confirmation under Section 3.3 is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension without refund, without prejudice to any other remedy available to the affected business.

3.7 Unauthorized Third-Party Access via Initial Communications. REG.AC is not responsible or liable for any unauthorized access to an account resulting from the interception, loss, or misuse of physical mail, paper documents, or initial access credentials sent to the public address of a business. It is the sole responsibility of the business entity to manage its physical correspondence securely. If an unauthorized person activates an account using a physical invitation, the rightful owner must resolve the matter via our Dispute Process (Section 3.5), and REG.AC shall bear no liability for actions taken by the account holder prior to a verified dispute submission.

    4. Subdomains and Intellectual Property

REG.AC grants a non-exclusive, revocable right to use a subdomain (e.g., yourbusiness.reg.ac) to host your micro-site. Subdomains are not transferable property.

If you are a trademark owner and object to the use of your brand name as a subdomain, contact support@reg.ac or use delete.reg.ac. Upon a credible ownership claim, we may suspend, reassign, or delete the disputed subdomain. We will make reasonable efforts to notify the current account holder before doing so, except where notice is impractical or would frustrate a legitimate rights holder's claim.

    5. User Content

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you add or edit after activation (Section 3.2 onward) — text, images, links, and contact details. REG.AC does not pre-screen content but will act on credible reports of unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing material, including suspension or removal, generally with notice to the account holder where feasible.

You may not upload unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing material, or links to malicious or deceptive destinations.

    6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

6.1 Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically for successive periods at the then-current rate unless cancelled from your account dashboard before the next billing date. We will send a reminder before the first renewal of any annual plan.

6.2 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers/businesses where applicable). Where you have a legal right of withdrawal for distance contracts (e.g., under the EU Consumer Rights Directive), you may cancel within 14 days of subscribing for a full refund, unless you have expressly requested immediate access to the paid features and separately acknowledged that this waives the withdrawal right for the portion already used — in which case a pro-rated refund applies for the unused portion (strictly capped at a maximum of 3 months of subscription fees). We will not infer this waiver from the act of subscribing alone; it requires a separate, explicit confirmation at checkout.

6.3 Ownership-dispute refunds. Refunds arising from a successful ownership dispute (Section 3.5) are handled as described there (capped at a maximum of 3 months of subscription fees) and are not subject to the general no-refund default.

6.4 Credential sharing. Each subscription is for use by one business. Reasonable internal sharing among employees of the same business is permitted; resale or sharing with unrelated third parties is not.

    7. Disclaimers

7.1 Data accuracy. Initial draft data is mirrored from third-party public sources and may be incomplete or outdated. We do not guarantee its accuracy prior to claim and correction by the business.

7.2 "As is" service. The REG.AC platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Site will meet every accessibility standard, though we aim for reasonable accessibility and welcome specific feedback at support@reg.ac.

7.3 Invalid or Expired Access Credentials. Initial temporary PIN codes or access links provided in physical or digital notices are generated as-is for convenience. REG.AC does not guarantee that a temporary PIN code will remain active, valid, or error-free indefinitely, and we are not liable if a credential expires, fails to work, or is already used. In case of invalid or missing credentials, users may at any time request a fresh access link or verify ownership directly through our support or recovery channels.

    8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Portuguese or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or a party's own unlawful data processing.

Subject to the above, the aggregate liability of Duncan Prim SRL (operating REG.AC) for claims arising from paid subscriptions is limited to the fees paid in the preceding three (3) months, or €100, whichever is greater, except where a longer period or higher amount is required by mandatory law.

We encourage users to raise concerns with support@reg.ac first, as most issues can be resolved quickly and without cost this way — but doing so is not a precondition to exercising any legal right.

    9. Communication and Evidence

Contact: info@reg.ac | Rua da Granja 1, Reguengos de Monsaraz 7200-284, Portugal.

Where the timing or content of a communication is disputed, we will consider all reasonably available evidence from either party, including electronic records and correspondence, rather than recognizing only one designated form of proof.

    10. Automated Systems

Bots, scrapers, and similar automated systems may interact with the Site's public pages in compliance with our robots.txt and applicable law. We may block automated traffic that creates excessive load or attempts unauthorized access, without prior notice.

    11. Changes to These Terms

We will notify active account holders of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

    12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Where you are a consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence to the extent required by applicable EU consumer protection law.
